Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification post secondary degree or technical certifications preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work).
• Basic diagnostics and repairs including AC and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Completes complex inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Mentors Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
