Boss Shop in Evansdale, IA is hiring a Diesel Technician to perform mechanical repairs for a full range of diesel systems. The role offers a clear path for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

The Technician will use J-Pro, FleetCross, and OE software for diagnostics, conduct DOT inspections, and handle preventive maintenance and on-call service calls. A strong focus on safety and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

Must complete TIA tire training.
Air Brake Certification required.
DOT Medical Card required.
ASE certifications preferred; Shop Technician IV must obtain specific tests within one year of promotion.
Section 609 HVAC certification required for HVAC service.

Responsibilities

Performs preventive maintenance, tire services, and emergency road service calls.
Conducts DOT inspections and ensures compliance with regulations.
Performs service calls, including night and on-call assignments.
Uses diagnostic platforms including J-Pro, FleetCross, and OE software to diagnose and repair vehicle systems.
Completes work orders documenting labor, parts, and warranty information.
Performs intermediate to advanced engine repairs, including diagnostics and related components.
Performs emissions system diagnostics and repairs.
Performs drivetrain, wheel-end, air system, and HVAC diagnostics and repairs.
Maintains shop cleanliness and safety compliance.
