Job summary

Ryder in Newnan, GA is hiring a Senior Level Diesel Technician to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. You will diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and work with a tech team in a fast-paced shop.

Requirements include 2+ years of heavy-duty repair experience, CDL Class A preferred, and willingness to obtain CDL within 6 months. Training, bonuses, and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of heavy-/medium-duty mechanical repair experience
• Valid CDL Class A preferred
• Basic diagnostic and repair skills for diesel engines, electrical and AC
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
• Pass Ryder drug test and DOT physical

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including routine maintenance
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer
• Completes detailed inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Interacts with drivers to determine nature of the issue
• Uses shop management system and electronic documentation
• Mentors Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
• Supports operations with other duties as needed
• SBTIII trained within 180 days
• Complete OEM diagnostic tool courses as required
