Job summary

Ryder in LaGrange, GA is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles with state-of-the-art diagnostics. The role offers weekly pay, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities include performing vehicle maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs, while providing excellent service to customers and drivers. A CDL and post-secondary training are preferred, with paid training and performance incentives

Qualifications

• Must have aptitude in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
• Experience with routine preventative maintenance and associated tasks

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs
• Performs preventive maintenance
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable
• Identifies root cause of basic failures/conditions and performs repairs
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation
• Follows safety, DOT, MOT and company compliance guidelines
• Supports operations with additional duties as needed
