Job summary

Interstate Power Systems is seeking a Diesel Technician for our Omaha, NE team. The role requires expertise in diagnostics and engine repair, with a focus on heavy-duty diesel engines and Allison transmissions.

You will work on complex repairs, perform root-cause analysis, and serve as a technical resource in a fast-paced shop environment. We offer a competitive benefits package, including full PTO, 401(k) with company match, and ongoing OEM training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior-level diesel technician experience.
• Diagnostic ability with OEM software and tooling.
• Deep hands-on experience with multiple Diesel engines and Allison Transmission products.
• Ability to work independently and confidently on non-routine failures.
• Strong electrical and aftertreatment troubleshooting capability.

Responsibilities

• Advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines and systems.
• High-level engine and powertrain work involving all makes of Diesel engines and Allison transmissions.
• Troubleshooting aftertreatment, electrical, fuel, cooling, and driveline systems.
• In-frame repairs, major component replacements, and root-cause failure analysis.
• Serving as a technical resource for the shop when difficult issues arise.
• Delivering clean, accurate documentation and professional workmanship every time.
