Job summary

Interstate Power Systems is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician to join our Omaha, NE team. The role focuses on diagnostics, complex repairs, and powertrain work across heavy-duty diesel engines, including Allison transmissions.

You will tackle challenging issues with precision and document outcomes professionally. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of senior-level experience, deep knowledge of diesel systems, and strong electrical/aftertreatment troubleshooting.

Qualifications

5+ years of senior-level diesel technician experience.
Exceptional diagnostic ability with OEM software and tooling.
Deep hands-on experience with multiple diesel engines and Allison transmissions.
Ability to work independently and confidently on non-routine failures.
Strong electrical and aftertreatment troubleshooting capability.
High standards for quality, efficiency, and accountability.

Responsibilities

Advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines and systems.
High-level engine and powertrain work involving all makes of diesel engines and Allison transmissions.
Troubleshooting aftertreatment, electrical, fuel, cooling, and driveline systems.
In-frame repairs, major component replacements, and root-cause failure analysis.
Serving as a technical resource for the shop when difficult issues arise.
Delivering clean, accurate documentation and professional workmanship every time.
