Job summary

FleetPride in Louisville, KY is hiring a senior Diesel Technician III to diagnose, repair, and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues on medium- and heavy-duty equipment such as tractors, trailers, and box trucks. You’ll work in a high-volume shop with daytime hours, mentoring junior techs, and taking ownership of advanced diagnostics.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of diesel technician experience (MD/HD preferred).
• Proven ability to perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs with minimal supervision.
• Experience mentoring or guiding other technicians.
• Strong communication with service managers, writers, and customers.
• Ability to provide your own tools and toolbox.
• CDL A or B preferred (not required).
• Safety-focused, detail-oriented, and highly efficient work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Mentor junior technicians in the shop.
• Support medium- and heavy-duty equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with service managers and customers for effective solutions.
• Maintain safety and quality standards in a fast-paced shop.
