Ryder is hiring a Senior Level Diesel Technician in Lihue, HI, offering weekly pay, comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities. You will work on heavy-duty vehicles with state-of-the-art diagnostics and tools, focusing on preventative and complex repairs.

The role includes an hourly wage of $34.12, plus certification and quarterly bonuses, a yearly tool allowance, and paid training. There are generous PTO, benefits after 30 days, and a clear path for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred.
• All other certification as required by location, required.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including standard maintenance and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Completes complex inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Replaces defective components as instructed; works unsupervised on most tasks.
• Mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels; uses maintenance documents and shop systems.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
• Adheres to safety, DOT, MOT guidelines and company policies.
