Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking a Technician in Obetz, OH to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. The role offers a 2nd shift, with a $2.00 per hour shift premium, and opportunities for growth through Penske's training programs.

You will work with experienced supervisors, learn Penske maintenance processes, and gain industry-recognized training while contributing to safety and reliability for customers on the road.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use tools and solve problems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• DOT/OSHA safety compliance and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers.
• Use Penske's tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance like tire replacement/rotation and lubrication, and some electrical and cooling system work.
• Learn new skills through training and hands-on coaching with your manager.
• Work on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
