Job summary

Schneider National in Atlanta seeks a Senior Diesel Technician to make safety-prioritized repair decisions on company tractors. You will perform all tractor estimations, diagnoses and repairs, including routine rebuilds and replacements, while maintaining open communication with internal customers.

The role requires a technical diesel degree, two years of experience, and strong diagnostic software knowledge.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in diesel technology or related field.
• Minimum of two years of diesel technician experience.
• Knowledge of diagnostic software, Detroit engines and after treatment repairs.
• Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
• Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

• Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working 50% or greater of the daily shift time between 3 p.m. and 5 a.m. local time, receive a $1.50 per hour differential for hours worked.


• Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working weekend hours, receive an additional $0.65 per hour differential for hours worked. (Weekend hours worked between 9pm Friday – 5am Monday).
