Job summary

Schneider in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Senior Diesel Technician for the third shift (Wednesday-Friday and every other weekend, 5:30 p.m.–4:00 a.m.). This role focuses on safety-driven repairs on company tractors, including estimations, diagnostics and routine rebuilds.

You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections and component replacements, communicate with internal customers, and bring your diesel technology degree and hands-on experience to a skilled team.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in diesel technology or related field.
• Minimum of two years of diesel technician experience.
• Knowledge of diagnostic software, Detroit engines and after treatment repairs.
• Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
• Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

• Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working 50% or greater of the daily shift time between 3 p.m. and 5 a.m. local time, receive a $1.50 per hour differential for hours worked.
• Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working weekend hours, receive an additional $0.65 per hour differential for hours worked. (Weekend hours worked between 9pm Friday – 5am Monday).
