Job summary

Kenworth Sales Company in Manassas, VA is seeking a Service Technician Lead to perform superior quality repairs on customer equipment and recommend additional services as determined by the Technician in the course of servicing.

The role requires 2-3 years in medium/heavy truck repair, VA State Inspector's certification or willingness to obtain it, a valid class A/B CDL or willingness to obtain one, and certifications from PACCAR, Cummins, or CAT or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in medium and/or heavy truck repair and maintenance.
• VA State Inspector's certification or willingness to obtain it.
• A valid class A or B CDL or the willingness to obtain one.
• Paccar, Cummins, and CAT Certifications or willingness to obtain.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions and information.

Responsibilities

• Receives repair order assignments from Shop Foreman.
• Performs work directed in order and in a timely and thorough manner; maintains high workmanship standard.
• Advises Shop Foreman of recommended changes in services.
• Determines if further repairs should be recommended and communicates them to the Shop Foreman.
• Maintains training and experience with specialized equipment and techniques.
• Attends training sessions as required by the Service Manager.
• Maintains accurate work order records of work performed and time clocked.
