Job summary

Kenworth Sales Company in Ashland, VA is seeking a Service Technician to perform high-quality repairs on customer equipment and advise on further services. This is a physically demanding role with opportunities for professional growth in a family-owned dealer network.

A minimum of 5 years in medium/heavy truck repair, valid CDL or willingness to obtain, VA State Inspector certification or willingness, and certifications from PACCAR/Cummins/CAT are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in medium and/or heavy truck repair and maintenance.
• VA State Inspector certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Valid class A or B CDL or willingness to obtain one.
• PACCAR, Cummins, and CAT Certifications or willingness to obtain.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Read, write and comprehend English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders and perform work in order and on time.
• Provide quality workmanship and advise on recommended services.
• Communicate recommended repairs to Shop Foreman.
• Maintain records of work performed and time clocked.
• Participate in training and maintain equipment competency.
