Martin Marietta is seeking a Senior Mechanic for the Asphalt and Paving Shop. The role leads complex repairs on paving equipment and heavy‑duty trucks, mentoring junior mechanics and ensuring high uptime during paving windows.

You will diagnose engines, hydraulic and electrical systems, perform teardowns, and oversee preventive maintenance while working in shop or on-site conditions. Strong safety focus is required.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED; trade school cert preferred.
• 3+ years of Heavy Equipment/Diesel Maintenance experience.
• Experience with asphalt/paving equipment preferred.
• CDL Class A is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Use advanced diagnostic software to identify engine and hydraulic faults.
• Diagnose and repair high‑pressure hydraulic systems on pavers and screed.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems for night paving operations.
• Perform teardowns and rebuilds of diesel engines and transmissions.
• Maintain a fleet including CAT/Volvo pavers, rollers, distributors and milling machines.
• Oversee PM schedule; conduct safety inspections and lubrication.
• Lead and mentor Maintenance Mechanics and Welders.
• Document work orders in CMMS; manage parts inventory.
• Conduct emergency roadside and job-site repairs as needed.
