Messier and Associates - Head Mechanic

Messier and Associates, a local dump truck company, is currently seeking a Head Mechanic.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the shop, which consists of two day shift mechanics and one night shift tire/yard technician.
2. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and assist in repairing trucks.
3. Utilize computer software such as Jaypro, Cat, etc., to diagnose issues.
4. Have knowledge of Hydraulic Systems, DEF Systems, Tarping Systems, etc.
5. Manage personnel and possess management experience.
6. Report to the CEO and upper management; handle mechanics' payroll.
7. Manage inventory of parts, maintain a list of current stock and needs, including part numbers.
8. Enter all work orders at the end of each day.
9. Perform annual DOT inspections.

Shift and Availability:

Shift hours are from 8 am to 5 pm. The candidate must have a cellphone and be available to answer after hours if drivers need assistance.
