Job summary

Red Classic is seeking a Lead Diesel Maintenance Technician to coordinate technician training, schedule work, and oversee shop safety and audits. The role involves hands-on diesel repairs, mentoring technicians, and managing parts inventory across multiple locations.

The position supports a Monday–Friday schedule with a 6:30am–3:00pm start, offering growth opportunities, paid training, PTO, and benefits including health insurance and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• 5–7 years of relevant diesel/fleet maintenance experience.
• D.O.T. Brake Inspection certification required; ability to obtain a DOT medical certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, clean conditions in Fleet Maintenance facilities.
• Mentor Vehicle Technicians B and C; assist with workload management.
• Perform diesel engine overhaul and related repairs; ensure safety standards.
• Balance workloads across multiple locations to ensure timely repairs.
• Cover vacancies and assist with vehicle maintenance as needed.
• Communicate with management about issues requiring attention.
• Maintain accurate parts inventory and resolve discrepancies.
