Job summary

Sysco Foods in Knoxville, TN seeks a skilled Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and expert repairs to keep vehicles reliable and safe. You will diagnose issues across engines, transmissions, electrical and refrigeration systems, and mentor peers as needed.

The role requires a background in medium/heavy-duty fleet maintenance, ASE/EPA certifications, and the ability to work on site with occasional supervision responsibilities. Benefits and shift details are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2-year school plus 4 years of experience or 5 years fleet maintenance experience.
• Certifications: Annual Inspector, Brake Inspector, ASE, EPA 608/609.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Conduct Annual inspections on tractors, trailers, dollies, and related gear.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs per manufacturer specs.
• Maintenance of refrigeration units, lift-gates, and electrical systems.
• Document work on work orders; mentor junior technicians as needed.
• Possess and use own tools; factory tools may be provided by Sysco.
