Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking an Echocardiographer (cardiac sonographer) to join a team-led lab in Rio Rancho, NM. The role emphasizes high-quality echo imaging, patient-centered care, and collaboration with physicians and other sonographers to ensure accurate diagnostics.

You will work 10-hour shifts in a staffed environment with opportunities for education, certification reimbursement, and loan forgiveness programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a two (2) year Allied Health Training Program in Ultrasound Technology or a bachelor’s in health science with related focus.
• 0-4 years' experience inpatient/outpatient cardiac ultrasound.
• ARDMS/RDCS (AE) OR CCI (RCS) credential; BLS required at hire.
• NM licensure required under NMRTT; must obtain within 90 days for new grads.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive 2D/3D echo imaging to assess heart structure and function.
• Provide patient-centered care and explain procedures; alert physicians to critical findings.
• Prepare preliminary echo reports with measurements and ensure smooth patient flow with the team.
• Assist in equipment maintenance and participate in quality control and continuing education.
