Job summary

BD is seeking an experienced Product Engineer to lead DFMA-driven initiatives for medical device assembly in Covington, GA. You will collaborate with R&D and Operations to ensure manufacturability, drive process validation, and deliver high-quality products with robust OEE performance.

You will define manufacturing technology strategies, develop pilot lines, and mentor cross-functional teams while ensuring compliance with GMP and quality policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; four years’ experience or two years with MS.
• Experience applying DFMA principles to medical devices preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP and medical device regulations for manufacturing.
• Experience in process validation and writing verification/validation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Define manufacturing technology strategy for new products and ensure transfer to production.
• Lead pilot lines to attain process capability and OEE.
• Collaborate with R&D across UCC on product design for manufacturability.
• Perform DFA/DFSS analyses and implement process controls for quality.
• Develop, validate and document manufacturing processes for new products.
