Job summary

Textron Aviation in the United States is seeking an Engineer DFM Sr to coordinate with design teams to provide dimensional management plans through the design and build process, and to collaborate with Project Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling and M&P to balance cost and variation.

You will develop build methodologies for complex systems, perform analyses, lead design/build meetings, and apply GD&T, CAD tools, and statistical methods to optimize manufacturing for aircraft

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing design or related engineering experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with design teams to provide dimensional management plans through the design and build process.
• Develop build methodologies for complex systems and components that capture all necessary functional requirements for the aircraft.
• Lead meetings to identify manufacturing methods, part sequencing, and tooling index plans; document results.
• Perform variation analysis using statistical methods to determine manufacturing build plans.
• Provide GD&T support and analysis; design and develop aircraft components using CAD tools.
