Job summary

Perforce's DevTools Business Unit seeks a senior pre-sales engineer to partner with account executives, proving value of our products across North American East markets. You will engage in technical discovery, architecture reviews, and compelling demos for customers using Java, C/C++, and open source tools.

You will collaborate with product, marketing, and delivery teams, and contribute to open source initiatives while aligning with cloud, CI/CD, and containerization practices.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent; 5+ years in a customer‑facing technical role.
• Hands‑on experience with Java and/or C/C++ enterprise development; familiarity with build toolchains and debugging complex systems.
• Strong Linux background with enterprise Linux ecosystem knowledge.
• Familiarity with CNCF technologies (Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis, Vault) and middleware stacks; cloud experience (AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives across the full sales cycle to prove solution value.
• Conduct deep discovery to map customer needs to targeted solutions.
• Design and deliver technical presentations, workshops, and POC engagements.
• Collaborate across Product, Marketing, Support, and Professional Services.
• Evaluate customer environments and advise on architecture, risk, and deployment.
