Job summary

Peraton Labs is seeking a Senior DevSecOps / Platform Engineer to own the Agentic AI platform end-to-end, from CI/CD pipelines to AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes operations. You will design secure, observable, and auditable systems, enabling scalable delivery of AI-enabled capabilities in production environments.

The role emphasizes strong engineering discipline, platform resilience, and collaboration with security and compliance teams across a highly regulated setting.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD with extensive platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE experience.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and cloud infrastructure at scale.
• Proven ability to design observable, secure, and auditable platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate the Agentic AI platform end-to-end across CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes operations, observability, and runtime reliability.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across GitHub Actions and/or GitLab CI, enabling secure, repeatable delivery workflows.
• Implement and improve automated testing and quality gates within the software delivery lifecycle, including security testing and deployment controls.
• Lead operational ownership of AWS/EKS environments, including cluster lifecycle, upgrades, RBAC, Helm deployments, and GitOps workflows.
• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure (VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudTrail, KMS) to support platform and application needs.
• Provision infrastructure via OpenTofu/Terraform and related IaC practices.
• Design and operate a mature monitoring, logging, and alerting stack (CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana).
• Develop actionable alerts and SLO-aligned thresholds for fast triage and resilient delivery.
• Build synthetic and transactional monitoring for real authentication flows and critical service transactions.
• Implement DAST and runtime security testing in pipelines using OWASP ZAP, Burp, Nuclei, etc.
• Support security-focused CI/CD practices: secrets management, least privilege, supply chain integrity, audit evidence.
• Drive trunk-based development, MR-driven changes, and automated release quality controls.
