Job summary

Peraton Labs seeks a Senior DevSecOps / Platform Engineer to own the Agentic AI platform end-to-end, from CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to EKS cluster operations and secure AWS infrastructure. You will drive observability, security, and reliability across delivery and runtime environments.

You will design scalable, auditable systems with modern engineering practices, enabling secure, compliant, and production-ready AI capability delivery for sensitive workloads.

Qualifications

• BS with 8+ years, MS with 6+ years, or PhD with 3+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related infra roles
• Deep CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions and/or GitLab CI
• Hands-on AWS/EKS/Kubernetes experience across core services
• Experience building and operating monitoring, logging, and alerting at scale
• Infra-as-code with OpenTofu / Terraform
• Agile delivery support and trunk-based development practices
• Security/compliance engineering foundation, secrets management and least privilege
• Automated testing in CI/CD pipelines; SAST/DAST experience
• Security testing in pipelines and triage of findings
• Synthetic/transactional monitoring of real auth flows
• Strong troubleshooting, systems thinking, ownership mindset
• US Citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Own and operate the Agentic AI platform end-to-end across CI/CD, cloud infra, Kubernetes, observability, and runtime reliability
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines across GitHub Actions and GitLab CI for secure, repeatable delivery
• Implement automated testing and quality gates within the software delivery lifecycle
• Lead operational ownership of EKS / Kubernetes environments, upgrades, RBAC, Helm, and GitOps workflows
• Build AWS infra supporting platform needs (VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudTrail, KMS)
• Manage infrastructure provisioning with OpenTofu / Terraform
• Design and run a mature monitoring/logging/alerting stack (CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana)
• Develop alerts, SLOs, and health indicators for fast triage
• Maintain synthetic/transaction monitoring of critical service flows
• Implement DAST and runtime security testing in delivery pipelines
• Support secure CI/CD with secrets management and audit evidence
• Promote trunk-based development and automated release quality controls
