Job summary

LMI is seeking a Senior DevSecOps / Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain a PaaS for Navy logistics and asset visibility. You’ll work across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, ensuring security, stability, and speed in collaboration with Navy users and engineers.

Candidate will lead pipeline automation, container orchestration, and automated compliance efforts using GitLab, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and Velero. Remote work available for US-based professionals.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance or higher is required and DoD 8570/8140 baseline certifications.
• 5+ years of mid-to-senior DevSecOps/platform engineering experience in DoD, federal, or regulated environments.
• Strong cloud infra experience with AWS GovCloud and hybrid setups.
• Hands-on Kubernetes administration and Helm chart development (CKAD/CKA preferred).

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Assist migration of legacy repos from Bitbucket to GitLab.
• Design and manage infrastructure across AWS GovCloud, edge, and Navy networks with Terraform and Ansible.
• Drive containerization for mission-critical apps using Kubernetes and Helm charts.
• Develop automated security checks, RHEL image hardening, and STIG checklists.
• Implement ATO integration and ICAM tooling within pipelines.
• Set up monitoring, alerting, and reporting with Prometheus/Grafana.
