Job summary

Pantheon Data seeks a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, cloud-native platforms in AWS GovCloud supporting ML workloads. You will own GitLab CI/CD end-to-end, including pipelines, runners, security scanning, and governance.

You will implement gated security controls aligned with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and DoD SRG, while enabling fast delivery and secure artifact management. HybridReston work location is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field from an ABET-accredited university.
• 5+ years in DevSecOps/DevOps with production AWS experience; +5 years in a related field.
• Deep hands-on GitLab expertise: CI/CD at scale, security features, and Runner administration.
• Experience implementing gated DevSecOps controls in CI/CD with auditable evidence.
• Hands-on expertise with Amazon EKS: cluster hardening, Helm, GitOps deployment patterns.
• Terraform for complex networking and security stacks; multi-environment promotion.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate enterprise-grade GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and tune GitLab Ultimate security suite as required pipeline gates.
• Enforce policy-as-code and compliance automation across projects.
• Manage SBOMs, license policies, and artifact signing for secure supply chain.
• Architect and operate GitLab Runner fleets in GovCloud with keyless auth.
• Harden AWS GovCloud environments and align to NIST/FedRAMP/DoD baselines.
• Manage Kubernetes/GitOps deployments and secure container workflows.
• Support ML workloads with observability in restricted environments.
• Lead migration from GitHub Actions to GitLab and enable developers.
