Job summary

LMI is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate secure cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines powering Army enterprise systems. This role requires an active Secret clearance and hands-on experience with AWS services, including EKS and EC2, plus GitLab CI/CD and security-focused automation.

The position involves managing hybrid deployments, standardizing templates, and ensuring high availability, security, and performance across environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of DevOps/DevSecOps or Cloud/Systems Engineering experience.
• Hands-on AWS with EKS/Kubernetes deployments and EC2 management.
• CI/CD experience using GitLab CI/CD.
• Scripting in Python or Bash for automation.
• Security tools integrated into CI/CD pipelines (SAST/DAST, container scanning).
• Ability to mentor junior team members and collaborate with QA leads.
• Active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize secure CI/CD pipelines within GitLab, enforcing DevSecOps principles.
• Standardize deployment templates and pipeline workflows to improve development velocity.
• Lead deployment and configuration of ERP testing platforms (e.g., Tosca, qTest, NeoLoad).
• Manage and troubleshoot hybrid deployments with containerized microservices on EKS and monolithic apps on EC2.
• Manage and scale AWS infrastructure (EKS, EC2, S3, RDS) and ensure security controls.
• Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting across EKS and EC2 for uptime of testing infra.
• Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting environment-related failures.
