Job summary

Unity Compass seeks a Principal Platform / DevSecOps Architect to design, build, operate, and improve secure AWS-based platforms. You will lead Kubernetes on EKS, craft GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and implement GitOps with IaC, Helm, and platform automation.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
• 10+ years of software/cloud engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• 8+ years of AWS engineering experience.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience, preferably Amazon EKS.
• Deep experience building and troubleshooting GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Architect, operate, and troubleshoot production Kubernetes environments on EKS.
• Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated GitLab CI/CD pipelines and templates.
• Implement GitOps for Kubernetes applications and infrastructure.
• Build secure AWS infrastructure using IaC.
• Develop reusable Helm charts, manifests, deployment patterns, and automation.
• Support containerized applications with Docker.
• Integrate DevSecOps controls, secrets management, IAM, and security scanning into pipelines.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across apps, containers, Kubernetes, AWS, networking, and identity.
• Mentor engineers and lead cross-team technical initiatives.
