Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to integrate security across development and operations.

You will design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, enforce secure configurations, and mentor teams in secure coding practices. This role requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance, a Bachelor's degree, and 5+ years in DevSecOps or related fields, with DoD 8140 IAT II certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in a technology discipline and 5+ years of relevant experience; education may be substituted for experience.
• Hands-on experience designing, deploying, operating, and maintaining enterprise development security platforms.
• Experience with SecOps CI/CD solutions for hybrid environments and multiple classification levels.
• Proven ability to mentor development teams on secure engineering practices.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, secure coding practices, and vulnerability types (OWASP Top 10).
• Knowledge of SDLC security integration, dependency and container scanning, and secrets management.
• DoD 8140 IAT II compliant certification preferred and/or required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure, automated CI/CD pipelines for applications.
• Enforce security best practices including secure configurations, dependency management, and deployment patterns.
• Ensure end-to-end security across build, test, deploy, and runtime operations within SDLC.
• Design, deploy, operate, and maintain enterprise security platforms and SecOps CI/CD solutions.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations to embed security controls into pipelines and workflows.
• Provide advanced guidance to development teams on secure coding, threat modeling, and remediation.
• Strengthen application security posture by identifying risks and driving adoption of standards and patterns.
• Lead security-focused reviews including design, code, and pipeline security assessments.
