Applied Signal Technology in San Jose, CA is seeking a Senior Principal Software Engineer specialized in Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps). The role focuses on strengthening national security through robust DevSecOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and secure software delivery. You will mentor engineers, drive enterprise tooling, and ensure adherence to security standards.

The position is onsite at the San Jose location. A TS/SCI with poly clearance is preferred, and U.S.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM and extensive relevant experience.
• Experience managing enterprise apps (Jira/Confluence; GitLab; CloudBees CI).
• Proficiency with artifact repositories and security tooling.
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
• Scripting in Python/Go/Bash and Linux administration.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI with poly; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsabilités

• Lead DevSecOps development environment, tooling, and workflows.
• Oversee installations, upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
• Coach teams to adopt AST DevSecOps practices and templates.
• Provide user support and document best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering leaders; travel up to 25%.
