Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer in Oklahoma City, OK or Lorton, VA to strengthen security in the DevOps lifecycle for a DoD program. You will lead secure CI/CD design, select and integrate tools, and perform advanced threat modeling and testing.

You will mentor engineers, drive IaC/CaC automation, and align practices with DoD requirements while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure software at scale.

Qualifications

• US citizen with active Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain SCI before start date.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience or Master’s with 6+ years.
• DoD 8140 intermediate or DoD 8570 IAM Level II or higher certifications.
• Strong understanding of software development paradigms, CI/CD, and Agile tools (Jira, GitLab).
• Extensive IaC and CaC experience across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Experience provisioning resources in hybrid IaaS/Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Extensive Docker/Kubernetes experience and security tooling integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of security within the DevOps pipeline for DoD apps.
• Evaluate security tools and integrate them into CI/CD to boost app security.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, and penetration testing.
• Collaborate on secure coding practices, incident response, and training.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
• Automate security testing and compliance using IaC and security tools.
• Stay current on DevSecOps trends and regulatory requirements.
• Design BC/DR solutions for a complex hybrid environment.
