Job summary

Leidos is seeking a mid-level DevSecOps Engineer for Oklahoma City, OK or Lorton, VA. The role requires a TS/SCI clearance and focuses on integrating security into the DevOps lifecycle for a large Air Force weapons system program.

You will automate security tooling in CI/CD, conduct threat modeling, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce secure coding practices while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• 4+ years in software development or DevSecOps roles; DoD/DoD-influenced work preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, code management, and agile planning tools (Jira, GitLab).
• Proficient with Linux and Windows OS, networking basics, and cloud infra (IaaS).
• Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef/Puppet/Ansible).
• Ability to automate security tooling in CI/CD and perform threat modeling and vulnerability assessments.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills; capable of working with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Support integration of security practices into the DevOps pipeline for DoD applications.
• Implement and automate security tools within CI/CD workflows.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat modeling.
• Collaborate to establish secure coding practices and controls.
• Configure and manage security tools including SAST/DAST/IAST and IaC security.
• Participate in incident response and monitor security alerts with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior team members on DevSecOps best practices and tools.
