Job summary

Exiger, located in Richmond, VA, seeks a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to lead automated security practices across the software development lifecycle. You will partner with Engineering, Cloud, Platform, IT, and Compliance to embed scalable security controls and drive secure delivery.

The role focuses on security automation, vulnerability management, and secure engineering in regulated, cloud-based environments, with mentoring and continuous improvement of pipelines.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of hands-on DevSecOps or cybersecurity engineering experience.
• Experience designing and operating security automation in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated security workflows across the SDLC.
• Automate vulnerability intake, ticketing, enrichment, escalation, and remediation tracking.
• Integrate security platforms with Jira/ServiceNow and CI/CD pipelines.
• Embed security testing (SAST/DAST) in CI/CD and IaC pipelines.
• Lead cross-functional security initiatives and mentor engineers.
• Develop metrics and dashboards to measure security posture and automation effectiveness.
