Job summary

Exelixis is seeking a Staff Engineer - DevSecOps to protect our AI infrastructure, data, and systems from cyber threats by implementing and improving security practices, tools, and operations across AI, cloud, and platform layers.

You will build AI-assisted development tools, design security controls, collaborate across teams, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance in a regulated biotech environment.

Qualifications

• Experience securing IT infrastructure and applications.
• Experience designing and managing security controls in cloud environments.
• IT security or related infrastructure administration background.
• Experience with cyber event investigations and incident response.
• Experience in regulated industries (GxP, SOX) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Protect AI infrastructure, data, and systems from cyber threats.
• Build AI-assisted development tools and security solutions.
• Improve security posture by addressing vulnerabilities in security infra.
• Collaborate with teams to secure applications, cloud, and AI infra.
• Investigate and respond to security events and incidents.
• Document findings and escalate issues as needed.
• Monitor security logs and events from multiple sources.
• Stay current with AI and cybersecurity threat landscapes.
• Provide cyber guidance to staff, vendors, and partners.
• Ensure SOX and FDA regulated environment compliance.
