Job summary

Serco is seeking an Experienced DevSecOps Engineer for 100% remote work in the United States. The role focuses on embedding security across the DevOps lifecycle, with emphasis on cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, and threat modeling. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure software and automate infrastructure using IaC tools.

Required are U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain a DoW Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree, 2+ years in DevOps/security/cloud

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required
• Ability to obtain DoW Secret security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 2 years of experience in DevOps, Security Engineering, Software Engineering, or Cloud Engineering
• Proficiency with Azure
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
• Familiarity with containerization including Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong scripting skills
• Travel up to 10% (CONUS)

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate security tools and practices into development and deployment workflows (SAST, DAST, container scanning).
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure secure software delivery.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor systems for security vulnerabilities and respond to incidents.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new and existing systems.
• Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and best practices.
