Job summary

Serco is seeking an Experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join our team in a 100% remote position. The role blends security into the DevOps life cycle with emphasis on cloud infrastructure, automation, and secure CI/CD pipelines.

Candidates should have US citizenship, ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree, at least 2 years in DevOps/security/cloud, and hands-on experience with Azure, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes. Travel up to 10% CONUS.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in DevOps, Security Engineering, Software Engineering, or Cloud Engineering.
• Proficiency with Azure.
• Experience with CI/CD tools listed (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with containerization/orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate security tools and practices into development and deployment workflows (SAST, DAST, container scanning).
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure secure software delivery.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using IaC tools (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Monitor systems for security vulnerabilities and respond to incidents.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new and existing systems.
• Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and best practices.
