Job summary

Core4ce is hiring a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support a large, secure DoW healthcare cloud environment. This fully remote, hands-on role engineers, automates, secures, maintains, and troubleshoots enterprise container platforms and the DevSecOps stack.

The ideal candidate has deep Kubernetes expertise (OpenShift preferred) with strong IaC, CI/CD, Linux, cloud, automation, and troubleshooting skills, and can mentor junior engineers while collaborating with customer teams to deliver secure,

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on Kubernetes experience including installation, configuration, operation, upgrades, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting (RHEL preferred).
• Terraform IaC experience with automation.
• Ansible configuration management and automation experience.
• Strong CI/CD pipeline design, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and GitLab.
• Solid understanding of containers, images, registries, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience implementing security controls in DevSecOps environments.
• Experience working directly with customers or application teams to gather requirements and solve problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, administer, maintain, upgrade, secure, and troubleshoot enterprise Kubernetes/OpenShift environments across development, staging, and production.
• Develop and maintain IaC and automation using Terraform and Ansible.
• Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, security scanning, artifact management, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across Kubernetes/OpenShift, Linux, cloud, networking, DNS, certificates, authentication, storage, CI/CD, and workloads.
• Collaborate with customers and application teams to gather requirements and resolve deployment issues.
• Provide advanced technical input and mentor junior engineers.
• Participate in code & design reviews and establish engineering standards.
• Collaborate across cloud, infra, security, and app teams to resolve cross-domain issues.
