Job summary

Core4ce is hiring a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support a large, secure DoD healthcare cloud environment. This is a fully remote, hands-on engineering position responsible for engineering, automating, securing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise container platforms and the DevSecOps technologies that support them.

The ideal candidate will have deep Kubernetes experience, preferably including Red Hat OpenShift, along with strong IaC, CI/CD, Linux, cloud, automation, and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Minimum of five years hands-on Kubernetes engineering experience.
• Strong Linux system administration (RHEL preferred).
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible for IaC/automation.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and GitLab or similar workflows.
• Solid understanding of containers, registries, networking, and security in DevSecOps.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms and secure software delivery practices.
• Ability to mentor engineers and communicate complex topics to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
• Develop and maintain IaC and configuration automation (Terraform, Ansible).
• Design and support CI/CD pipelines, automated security scanning, and artifact management.
• Troubleshoot multi-layer platform issues across Kubernetes, Linux, cloud, networking, and security.
• Collaborate with application teams to understand requirements and deploy workloads securely.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards and reviews.
• Support platform modernization and DoD/regulatory compliance activities.
