Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join the PACER Development team, building secure public access to court records. Lead secure SDLC activities, automate CI/CD, and ensure PCI/FISMA/compliance across systems.

You will collaborate across multiple internal/external systems, develop in C/Java/JSF, and help design scalable, resilient services with secure web APIs. This role emphasizes security-first practices and agile collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT system engineering or development
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Engineering
• Knowledge of security compliance and controls
• Proficient in C, Java, JSF, Tomcat, PrimeFaces, JS/CSS
• Strong DevSecOps pipeline experience
• RedHat Linux expertise
• Cloud APIs/Cloud tech with programming
• DevOps pipeline support experience
• Ability to meet enterprise security requirements
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bash, SVN
• Experience as platform team developer managing CI/CD pipelines
• Containerized apps development/testing/maintenance
• Security-first mindset
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Preferred: Perl

Responsibilities

• Develop and support PACER-related products and internal tools
• Ensure PCI and security standards compliance
• Perform requirements gathering, design, development, testing and deployment
• Develop enterprise software with C, Java, JSF, PrimeFaces, JavaScript, CSS, Linux shell
• Create secure web services using SOAP, REST, WSDL, XSD, XML, JSON
• Design scalable, efficient software solutions, document use/test cases
• Participate in Agile planning, retrospectives and stand-ups
• Review documentation and assess impacts of changes
• Maintain architectures aligned with enterprise standards
• Implement secure engineering, remediation and compliance activities
• Perform performance, capacity planning and COOP/DR testing
• Manage configurations, version control and source repos
• Provide knowledge transfer and training to Technical POCs
• Evaluate emerging tech to reduce debt and improve viability
