Job summary

AV is seeking a Principal Software Engineer (DevSecOps) to lead cloud-based software architecture and secure development practices. You will collaborate with engineers to design, develop, and deliver software solutions with a focus on security and automation.

The role requires strong programming skills across C/C++, Java, Golang, and Python, plus experience with CI/CD, databases, and cloud platforms. A U.S. citizen or green card holder is required, and ITAR compliance applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or Physics or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of relevant software engineering, software automation, cloud architecture, DevSecOps experience.
• Strong skills in C/C++, Java, Golang, and/or Python; understanding of data structures and OOP.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests and security checks.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL; familiarity with Ubuntu/CentOS.

Responsibilities

• Implements and optimizes software including REST endpoints, databases, and UI components.
• Supports testing, security validation, and documentation for customers and stakeholders.
• Resolves build, integration, deployment, and configuration issues.
• Creates software design documentation per processes and guidance from Senior Engineers.
• Mentors less experienced engineers and collaborates with cross-functional teams.
