Job summary

Fathom 4. LLC. is seeking an experienced engineer to transform how our DoD customers build, test, and deploy IT systems in secure environments.

The role focuses on designing pipelines, automating provisioning, and implementing IaC to deliver repeatable baselines for Windows and Linux. You will collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and government stakeholders to drive adoption, ensure STIG compliance, and maintain momentum in constrained environments. U.S.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing, building, or improving automated IT infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, or software deployment processes.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows or Linux systems, virtualization, containers, and networking fundamentals.
• Proficiency in scripting or automation using tools such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible, or equivalent technologies.
• Familiarity with Git-based development, CI/CD concepts, automated testing, and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for automated system builds, testing, security validation, and deployment.
• Automate provisioning and configuration of Windows and Linux systems, virtual machines, containers, and supporting infrastructure.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and scripting to create consistent, reproducible system baselines.
• Integrate automated testing, cybersecurity scanning, STIG compliance, and release management into deployment workflows.
• Evaluate technologies and develop solutions appropriate for secure, restricted, and disconnected DoD environments.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and government stakeholders to demonstrate solutions, communicate technical direction, and drive adoption.
