FTI Defense is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our mission-driven engineering team supporting DoD, IC, and federal programs. The role focuses on building secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines, IaC with Terraform, and cloud infrastructure across AWS GovCloud and related environments.

We value deep technical expertise and ownership, with experience in Docker/Kubernetes, Python/TypeScript tooling, and strong security discipline. U.S. citizenship and clearance readiness are required.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with TS/SCI clearance (secret preferred).
• Bachelor's in STEM or CS preferred.
• 6+ years of DevOps experience.
• Extensive cloud infra design on AWS GovCloud / AWS.
• Strong automation with Python, Bash, Terraform, AWS SSM.
• CI/CD pipelines experience (Azure DevOps or equivalent).
• Experience embedding security scanning & compliance gates.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, registry standards.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53, STIG, RMF/ATO in government context.

Responsibilities

• Build, monitor, and improve automated CI/CD pipelines (ADO/GHA).
• Own infrastructure-as-code end-to-end using Terraform.
• Containerize workloads with Docker and ensure parity.
• Embed automated security scans into pipelines to reduce vulnerabilities.
• Write automation/tools in Python and TypeScript for pipelines and scripts.
• Set up observability: logging, metrics, tracing, alerts.
• Define deployment policy, tagging, cost controls, and docs.
• Manage source repos and version-control workflows.
