Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior DevSecOps / CI/CD Engineer to lead secure software delivery pipelines for a mission-critical enterprise platform serving an Intelligence Community customer. You will shape pipeline architecture, automation standards, and secure practices across multiple enclaves with a zero trust, hub-and-spoke model.

You will drive GitOps workflows, artifact promotion, RMF/ATO readiness, and collaboration with cybersecurity, platform engineering, and test teams to ensure reliable,

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 8+ years experience; additional 4 years may substitute for a degree.
• Extensive hands-on experience architecting and maintaining production CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with GitOps, automation standards, and secure delivery practices.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Experience integrating automated security controls in CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Git and scripting (Bash, Python).
• DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of CI/CD pipeline architectures across environments.
• Establish standards, templates, and deployment automation with GitOps.
• Design automation using GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo CD.
• Automate builds, testing, packaging, and deployments to Kubernetes-based environments.
• Architect reusable pipeline components and self-service tooling.
• Define IaC and deployment automation with Terraform, Ansible, Helm.
• Integrate automated security controls (SAST/DAST, SCA, image scanning).
• Coordinate with cybersecurity/compliance to support RMF/ATO requirements.
• Mentor engineers and improve pipeline reliability and performance.
