Job summary

Texas Roadhouse, Inc. is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to safeguard our Louisville-based cloud environment and development pipelines.

You will design security controls across Azure, embed security into the SDLC, and collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and product teams to build secure solutions from the ground up. You will lead threat modeling, implement WAF and API security, and strengthen CI/CD security across containers, microservices, and serverless architectures.

Qualifications

• Must have 7+ years in cloud security, application security, DevSecOps, or similar.
• Experience with Azure AD, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, and network security controls.
• Experience embedding security into CI/CD and secure SDLC practices (OWASP Top 10, SAST/DAST/IAST).
• Proficient in securing apps and APIs, including microservices, containers, and serverless architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage security controls across Azure (IAM, networking, containers, logging).
• Embed security into the SDLC with secure coding practices and automated testing.
• Lead threat modeling efforts and recommend risk-reducing solutions.
• Implement application and API security tools (WAF, API gateways, secrets management).
• Support secure architectures across microservices, containers, serverless, and PaaS.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and pen testing across cloud and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor security events (SIEM, CSPM, CWPP) and respond to incidents.
• Strengthen automated security within CI/CD and cloud platforms.
• Develop security policies, standards, and cloud reference architectures.
• Partner with DevOps, engineering, and product teams to build secure solutions.

As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of protecting our cloud environment, applications, and development pipelines. You’ll design and implement modern security solutions across Azure, partner closely with developers to embed security into everything we build, and play a key role in strengthening our overall cybersecurity posture. If you enjoy solving complex problems, influencing secure design, and staying ahead of evolving threats-this is your seat at the table.

• This is an onsite position working a hybrid schedule (minimum 3 days in the office) at the Texas Roadhouse Support Center located in Louisville, Kentucky.

What’s On Your Plate

• Design and manage security controls across Azure (IAM, networking, containers, logging, monitoring, workload protection)
• Embed security into the SDLC (secure coding, code reviews, automated testing, dependency scanning)
• Lead threat modeling efforts and recommend risk-reducing solutions
• Implement application and API security tools (WAF, API gateways, secrets management)
• Support secure architectures across microservices, containers, serverless, and PaaS
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud and CI/CD pipelines
• Monitor security events (SIEM, CSPM, CWPP) and respond to incidents
• Strengthen automated security within CI/CD and cloud platforms
• Develop security policies, standards, and cloud reference architectures
• Partner with DevOps, engineering, and product teams to build secure solutions from the ground up
• Mentor team members and stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies

Your Recipe for Success

• 7+ years in cloud security, application security, DevSecOps, or similar
• Experience with Azure cloud security services such as Azure AD, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, network security controls, or application gateway technologies
• Experience applying secure SDLC practices, secure coding principles, OWASP Top 10 guidance, SAST/DAST/IAST tools, and dependency scanning
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and integrating security checks or automation using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar platforms
• Experience with container and Kubernetes security concepts and controls
• Experience with web application firewalls such as Cloud Flair, F10, Akamai
• Skilled in threat modeling, assessments, and log analysis
• Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)

Bonus Points For

• CSPM tools, WAF/API security, SIEM platforms, serverless security, and ITSM tools like ServiceNow
• CySA+ certification
