Job summary

Maximus is seeking an IT Senior Architect - DevSecOps to lead enterprise DevSecOps platform strategy across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will define reference architectures, build secure CI/CD patterns, and enforce guardrails for 1,000+ government programs while mentoring engineers and collaborating with the ISO on compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on architecture, platform governance, and cross-functional influence within a high-visibility program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years IT experience with 5+ years in senior DevSecOps/platform engineering.
• Must be a United States Citizen; eligible for a U.S. Government Public Trust or Secret clearance.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins; enterprise Jenkins Shared Libraries in Groovy.
• Experience managing artifact repositories (JFrog Artifactory, Nexus) and cross-account deployments.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Crossplane, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong knowledge of security scanning and compliance standards (NIST SSDF, FedRAMP, HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI).
• Ability to influence architecture decisions across large teams and governance bodies.
• Experience with Agile tooling (Jira) and enterprise DevSecOps programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal architect for the Maximus enterprise DevSecOps platform.
• Define reference architectures, pipeline standards, and security guardrails across targets (GovCloud, commercial).
• Establish and maintain the canonical CI/CD pipeline model with security gates and artifact management.
• Provide architecture decisions for multi-environment deployments (dev, staging, production) in cloud.
• Collaborate with ISO on security reviews, risk decisions, and continuous compliance.
• Lead platform adoption, community enablement, and governance across the organization.
