Job summary

Maximus is seeking an IT Senior Architect – DevSecOps to guide enterprise CI/CD strategy with Jenkins Shared Libraries, Groovy, Terraform, and Crossplane. You will own security-focused delivery for government programs and ensure alignment with FedRAMP, HIPAA, SOC 2, and PCI controls.

This remote, high-visibility role requires deep technical ownership, cross-functional influence with VP/Sr Director peers, and mentorship of senior engineers across the Tools Engineering practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent).
• 7+ years IT experience; 5+ years in senior DevSecOps/architecture role.
• Must be a US Citizen and eligible for security clearance.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions; Groovy scripting.
• Experience with artifact repositories and image registries.
• Proficiency with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong cloud-native architecture and Kubernetes experience.
• Security-focused pipeline design in regulated environments (FedRAMP, HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI).
• Experience across AWS, Azure, GCP and multi-account architectures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee automation for daily activities and feature development across cloud platforms.
• Define enterprise DevSecOps architecture, reference models, and security guardrails.
• Lead platform governance and act as technical authority in enterprise forums.
• Mentor senior engineers and drive platform adoption across teams.
• Champion security-left practices and compliance in CI/CD pipelines.
