Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a senior DevOps/SRE leader to design, deploy, and operate secure, scalable multi-cloud environments across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premises where needed. Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory for this position.
• 10+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or software engineering, including hands-on ownership of production systems.
• Extensive practical experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and production-grade cluster operations.
• Strong knowledge of Helm and infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Terraform or Pulumi, including reusable modules, state management, testing, and infrastructure change reviews.
• Hands-on experience with two major cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP, including compute, networking, storage, identity, and managed services.
• Proven experience deploying and operating software in customer-controlled, private-cloud, hybrid-cloud, or on-premises environments.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and infrastructure components (DNS, ingress, load balancing, certificates, IAM, secrets, storage).
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines or GitOps workflows for application releases, infrastructure upgrades, and rollback procedures.
• Familiarity with observability tools, production monitoring, incident management, and operational reliability practices.
• Strong programming and automation skills in Python, Go, TypeScript, or a comparable language.
• Experience securing production infrastructure and container images, vulnerability remediation, and security improvements.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with ownership from investigation to handover.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with external partners and technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted coding and engineering tools to improve workflows and incident investigation.
• Strongly Preferred Qualifications: government/federal security experience and clearances, restricted-network environments, STIG/NIST/FedRAMP knowledge, government cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and operate secure, scalable multi-cloud environments across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premises as needed.
• Package, deploy, and validate containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and approved registries.
• Create reusable infrastructure-as-code modules and CI/CD/GitOps workflows with Terraform or Pulumi and Argo CD.
• Configure networking, IAM, secrets, certificates, storage, and secure deployments across restricted or disconnected environments.
• Eliminate cloud-specific dependencies to ensure portable deployments and validate end-to-end workflows.
• Lead production troubleshooting and coordinate escalations with engineers and partners.
• Manage releases, patches, and upgrades with automated validation and rollback procedures.
• Strengthen observability with metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and SLOs; support incident response and DR planning.
• Collaborate with security and governance teams on STIG, NIST controls, and compliance offerings.
• Support federal deployments and partner onboarding with clear responsibilities and access requirements.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and drive reusable platform engineering standards.
• Coordinate cross-functional delivery with product, security, and external partners; identify risks and dependencies.
• Drive continuous automation improvements and platform capability enhancements.
