Job summary

Xage Security in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a Senior DevOps & SaaS Operations Engineer to design, automate, and scale the cloud infrastructure powering our hosted Zero Trust AI Gateway platform. You will own deployments, tenant management, and monitoring, with a path toward Kubernetes migration.

The role requires 5+ years in production SaaS and deep IaC experience with Terraform/Packer, plus hands-on VM and container management (Docker, cloud VMs).

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years production SaaS DevOps/SRE experience managing commercial SaaS platforms.
• Expert-level Terraform, Packer, and cloud experience across AWS, GCP or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Customer Deployment & Onboarding Automation: Build and maintain IaC (Terraform, Packer) and automated provisioning workflows to deploy environments across cloud VMs and containers.
• Zero-Downtime Upgrade Orchestration: Architect automated upgrade and rollback pipelines for hosted control planes and edge gateways, preserving SLAs.
• Kubernetes Migration Strategy: Lead roadmap for VM/Docker to Kubernetes (EKS/GKE), designing migration with minimal disruption.
• Monitoring, Observability & Alerting: Design unified observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry to track health and SLIs/SLOs.
• Ongoing Maintenance & Site Reliability: Capacity planning, DR, patching, incident automation to maintain 99.99% uptime.
• Cloud & Edge Security Infrastructure: Apply security best practices across VM images, registries, secrets, and network controls.
