Job summary

Zimmer Biomet seeks a Senior DevOps & Release Engineer to lead DevOps and release practices for regulated SaMD platforms. You will own build, packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management across Linux-based environments, ensuring audit readiness and compliance with FDA/IEC guidance.

The role requires 6+ years in DevOps or related fields, strong Linux, and hands-on CI/CD with AWS/Azure, plus experience in regulated healthcare or life sciences environments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in DevOps, Release Engineering or Platform Engineering.
• Strong Linux knowledge (Debian-based).
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and cloud (AWS/Azure).
• Familiarity with regulatory standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971.
• Experience with Python and/or C++ and ML/AI deployment in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for DevOps and release engineering in a regulated SaMD environment.
• Own end-to-end software build, packaging, release, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure DevOps infrastructure and reproducible pipelines.
• Develop and enforce auditable CI/CD processes and governance for inspections and audits.
• Collaborate with Software, QA, Regulatory, Security, IT, Product, and R&D teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and translate regulatory requirements into scalable solutions.
