Job summary

Nova Biomedical is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to lead cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and DevSecOps for regulated medical device platforms. You will design secure, scalable AWS environments, support embedded Linux, and drive compliant release practices.

The role emphasizes IaC, CI/CD, and regulatory standards, with leadership across engineering teams and collaboration with device software groups. Hybrid work and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in DevOps, SRE, or software engineering for regulated devices.
• Experience with AWS and cloud security frameworks in regulated environments.
• Familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, IVDR as related to software release.
• Proven IaC implementation experience (Pulumi, Terraform, CloudFormation).
• CI/CD pipeline ownership across embedded Linux builds and firmware deployments.
• Knowledge of containerization: Docker, Kubernetes; Ansible for configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Lead secure cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and operations.
• Implement and maintain IaC architectures to automate provisioning and deployments.
• Champion DevSecOps by integrating automated security checks into build/deploy lifecycles.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps) for embedded Linux and web services.
• Collaborate with software teams to ensure robust deployment topologies for medical device platforms.
• Maintain data integrity, monitoring, logging, and observability across environments.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability of changes using ALM and issue-tracking tools like Jira/Jama.
• Provide technical guidance and peer reviews across engineering teams.
• Communicate risks and release readiness to leadership.
