Job summary

Hartmann Young Limited is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build and scale secure SaMD applications in a regulated medical-device environment. This role focuses on delivering production-grade software for clinical decision-support by combining cloud services and robust backend systems.

You will collaborate with Product, Clinical, Quality and Regulatory teams to translate requirements into reliable software, participate in reviews, testing and documentation, and contribute to architecture

Qualifications

I’m partnering with an innovative MedTech company developing a Software as a Medical Device platform designed to improve clinical decision-making and patient outcomes.

They are looking for a Software Engineer to help design, build and scale secure, reliable software within a regulated medical-device environment.

The role will involve:

• Developing and maintaining production-grade SaMD applications
• Building scalable backend services, APIs and cloud infrastructure
• Translating clinical and product requirements into reliable software
• Improving system performance, security and data integrity
• Supporting software verification, validation and technical documentation
• Participating in code reviews, testing and release management
• Working cross-functionally with Product, Clinical, Quality and Regulatory teams
• Contributing to the company’s software architecture and development roadmap

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Commercial software-engineering experience using modern programming languages and cloud technologies
• Experience building secure, scalable and highly available applications
• Strong knowledge of software testing, version control and CI/CD
• The ability to work effectively within a cross-functional product-development team
• Experience within MedTech, digital health or another regulated industry

Experience with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, cybersecurity requirements, clinical data or FDA-regulated software would be particularly valuable.
